Less than a twenty minute walk from the hotel is the famous Ciolo fjord. The staff of the Hotel provides all the information on the route to reach it with a non-demanding trek. It is ideal to take this walk immersed in the Mediterranean scrub early in the morning, with a subsequent stop and a revitalizing swim in the crystalline waters of the fjord.
Driving along the SS 274 from Gagliano, a few kilometers from the hotel, you can find the famous beaches of very fine sand called the Maldives of Salento Marina di Salve, which include Pescoluse, Torre Pali, Posto Vecchio and Lido Marini. Along the Adriatic coast up to Tricase, with its lovely harbor it is worth a visit at Marina Serra, with is natural swimming pool, and the coastline up to Andrano, famous for its Green Cave with bulbous stalactites. Then you will meet Castro, with its old town and the castle, which counterpoise the port and one of the most enchanting inlets of the region, so wonderful that it gained the blue flag of the European Union for the purity of the sea. Continue along the rugged coast, the cliffs overlooking the sea and you will find the big Zinzulusa cave, almost one kilometer long, with stalactites and stalagmites, with many colony of bats.
